A lot done in a year..

Wow! almost a year without a post....Been real busy..Well the s1-s that started this blog has been sold to a gentleman in N.Cal.  He said it would be racing in 2013 at Reno..
The S2-S is complete and made it's first flight in 2-1/2 years on Easter sunday 2012..What a neat plane to fly..I get out at least twice a week for some akro in it..I installed a Whirlwind 400C prop in place of the 400 rocket that came with it...I LOVE the low speed pull that this prop has..I'm looking forward to the Delano contest this year(2012) I have the time off scheduled with the owner., who will come and be the relief pilot at work...I haven't flown in a contest since Delano 2009.. I'm saving up some coin for the Skydynamics cold air sump/induction system to put on the engine..The only complication will be the rare oil cooler in the lower nose bowl cowl situation..Will have to figure out how to get around or under the oil cooler to achieve ram ira effect...Hmmmm.
Looking  to the future, I picked up a empennage kit for a Van's rv-7..Got a great deal on one that's prebuilt from a guy in sacramento..Saved myself 250 hours and 1000$ on that..We need a speedy hotrod to go places in..Going to sell off some goodies to fund the wing kit...Wanting to do a QB fuselage kit..Still have the IO-360 from the Pitts S1  to go in it...
  That's it for now..More later.
